Global privacy control (GPC)
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a privacy standard that allows users to communicate their privacy preferences to websites and online services.
Fynlink respects GPC signal by default!
If a GPC signal is detected by our system, the analytics will be turned off, and we do not collect any metrics! Our customers have the flexibility to enable or disable GPC for their custom domains.
What is Global Privacy Control (GPC)?
GPC is designed to give users a simple and standardized way to signal whether they want their personal information to be collected, sold, or shared by the websites they visit.
When a user enables GPC in their web browser or through other privacy tools, the browser sends a signal to the websites the user visits, indicating the user's privacy preferences. Websites and online services that are configured to respect GPC will then honor the user's preferences as much as possible within the scope of the standard.
The GPC standard is intended to provide users with more control over their online privacy and to simplify the process of communicating privacy preferences across different websites and platforms. It aims to streamline the privacy experience for users and encourage websites and online services to respect user choices regarding the collection and use of their personal data.

As a customer, how can I change my GPC settings?
GPC is enabled for all domains by default!
This means alaytics will be turned off by default for users with GPC signal. However, our customers have the choice to disable GPC while adding a domain or change GPC settings later on the fly to comply with modern privacy laws!
If you have a custom domain in our platform, you can enable or disable GPC for the domain by editing the domain metadata.
