Teams
Team is more like a work space, where you and your colleagues can create and track short links. Every team will have its own individual settings. You are free to create as many teams as you want and invite as many members you would like to!

What is a team?
You should have at least a team to start using Fynlink. A team will be auto created for you when you start using it, or you are free to join an existing team if you have an invitation! Every link you create will be associated with a team. It is like a workspace with custom settings and members. You can also generate API tokens for each team, and these tokens are restricted to the team.

We ourselves use Fynlink. We have different teams like Marketing
, Application Email
etc. to name a few.
- Our
Marketing
team is limited to few members, and the links created are used for marketing only. We have not disabled analytics, and the analytics data is used to examine the impact of any posts in social media and as a whole. - The
Application Email
team is set as private by default. This means, all links are created as private link. This team also has zero members. We auto generate short URL for every long link in email send from our platform. This is to make it easy for our customers to type the URL in browser if necessary and access the page.- This team shortens URL from highly sensitive long URL like account confirmation, password reset, etc. We make use of private links to securely & privately create short URL. As these are done automatically using API, none of our employees or team owner can see or interact with any of these private links within our platform!
- The link expiry is set to a minimum, in most cases a few hours only for better security, even though the actual long links have its own expiry!
- The analytics is off by default for this team. We do not track any kind of user action for our customer emails.
How can I create a team?
Only users with a subscription can create a team!
Only users with a valid Subscription can create a new team.

How can I join an existing team?
You need an invitation to join an existing team!
You need to ask an administrator
or owner
of an existing team to send you a team invitation. invitations are sent to an email
, make sure to give the correct email address to the team admin.
Anyone can join an existing team, and you do not need to purchase a subscription to be a part of the team. All you need is an invitation to join a team! You can learn more about joining an existing team here.
