Safe mode (link preview)

Safe mode is an advanced option, if enabled while creating a new short URL will show a link preview by default to the user.

What is safe mode?

Whenever a new link is created, you can enable safe mode in the advanced options, so that any user clicking on the link will be first shown a link preview.

This means, the short URL will not be redirected to the long target URL, instead a page will be shown in which the long target URL is visible. The user can then decide to go to the target URL or not by clicking the Continue button.

Brand neutral pages

We will let you use your own logo & copyright strings soon in preview page & 404 page!

By default, all 404 page and link preview pages are brand neutral for custom domains. This means you will not see any of our branding or ads in your links!

Even the default preview page and 404 page for domains owned by Fynlink like fyn.li etc. only shows our logo & copyright string. It is clean & minimal, unlike other services that have tons of links and even ads!

If you have set up a custom 404 page in domain settings, it will have precedence over the default 404 page.
If you have set up root URL redirect in custom domain settings, the copyright string will display root redirect URL for preview pages.
